BuildSmart is a web & SQL based Construction Enterprise Accounting system that integrates Costing, Project accounting and Enterprise accounting for real-time analysis and the effective construction management.
BuildSmart is used by large multinational construction enterprises as well as smaller organizations in some of the most demanding construction environments in the world.
BuildSmart manages all sources of project cost – Materials Procurement, Payroll, Subcontractors, Plant, Stock and Overheads allowing the construction business to track all costs by Contract, and by both Activity and Cost type, all in real-time. Four ledgers are used: Contracts, Overheads, Plant and Balance Sheet to provide the detail that effective construction business management requires. BuildSmart works effectively in multi-currency environments.
BuildSmart allows information to be entered where it produced – at the site or in the office, and to be processed and viewed wherever in the world a secure web-based connection is available through a strict and secure permission based system.

Experience
The CCS team is comprised of experienced, construction industry professionals. Interaction between users and the system designers is encouraged, enabling us to keep the software abreast of user requirements and developing industry trends.
Current users
BuildSmart was first launched in South Africa, then throughout Africa and the Indian Ocean region, and most recently in the Middle East. Now, with over 200 organizations and 2000 users, BuildSmart continues to expand through the over 50 countries in which Candy is in use.
Purchasing and software upgrades
BuildSmart is purchased with a once-off license fee based on the number of concurrent users, plus an annual support and maintenance fee which includes free-of-charge upgrades to each new version. |
Implementation and Training
BuildSmart provides training in your own offices using live data and your own computer systems. The first step in each implementation is the analysis of your business process and the preparation of a custom implementation plan of three to six weeks. After implementation, we make return visits when required to provide additional training and to assist with special requirements.
Expert support
Our telephone help desk offers expert assistance to users needing to perform complex or unfamiliar tasks. System experts are also available by email and fax.
On-going development
The BuildSmart system is continually being adjusted and extended to comply with changing conditions in the construction industry, new computer technology and user requirements. |
